May/June 2026

Dr Lydia will be taking care of any patients in need during May while Tracey is in Africa! Her partner Steve has recently retired and Africa has been on his bucket list for quite a few years now, so it became his “retirement trip”. They have been looking forward to this adventure for the last couple of years as it was already booked before they decided to tie the knot last year. The last year has flown and finally Africa is happening. Tracey will be here until Friday May 1st and she returns on Monday May 25th … with a few stories!

In the meantime MarionCC has been very busy through Autumn. Bella our new Chiropractic Assistant was thrown in the deep end upon her return to Adelaide after her three week teaching placement back at home in Port Lincoln. Bella is studying Primary Education at Flinders University and she has had a steep learning curve both here and at university over the past couple of months. We’re sure she will enjoy getting to know our wonderful patients as much as you will enjoy getting to know her. MarionCC has also started training a backup staff member, Irene. Trying to juggle our late hours and work, study and family schedules has become tricky so Irene will be helping us out as well.

We wish Isla all the best for her final year of study in Paramedicine and her new position at Portman’s at Harbourtown. You may even catch her at MarionCC during her study breaks or when we have an emergency staffing need. Hopefully when Irene is more familiar with the role we won’t have the need to call on emergency backup!

The African landscape was captivating! We had sunset drinks on this rocky outcrop after an amazing elephant encounter on our last evening safari near Kruger National Park.
